Some say that The Toronto Maple Leafs choked but I disagree, they created the better chances and were all over the Montreal Canadians netminder. To say that the Toronto Maple Leafs choked is to deny the awesomeness of Carey Prices insane display of strength, speed, ability to read a play and mindset.

What the Toronto and Montreal fans watched was the Carey Price of old but I would say even better or more determined, I have always believed the year Kreider took out Price was the year the Montreal Canadians would’ve locked in a Stanley Cup but we’ll never know but what was more scary for Montreal Canadians fans was losing our number one goalie in his prime, his best years shortened by a sliding tackle as the post stood strong just long enough to cause injury.

After that Price was no longer the same, he had to take time off and some years went by but what I saw in nets this first round was a man not to be reckoned with; his laterals and reading of the plays is next level insanity, he seems to be zoned out as if players do not exist around him as his every move is tracking the put like some Lidar system or an animal stalking a prey from inside the brush.

What does this mean for the Winnipeg Jets tonight at 7:30PM ET, it doesn’t look to good although, the Jets did eliminate the Edmonton Oilers.

If anyone deserves a Stanley Cup its Carey Price, he has been the one holding the Montreal Canadians together since his beginnings; he’s won the Hart Trophy, The Vezina Trophy, A William Jennings Award and a Ted Linsey Award…I wouldn’t mind seeing him hoist one of the greatest cups ever to grace sports; The Stanley Cup.
